Palos Verdes Estates, California
Palos Verdes Estates, one of the four cities on “The Hill,” is a predominantly residential city with a small population of just over 25,000. Palos Verdes Estates, or “PVE” as known by some, is home to upscale homes and, in some areas, nice views of the Pacific Ocean. Its residents are largely Caucasian, although there is a recognizable number of Asians and a very small number of Hispanics and African Americans.
The City of Palos Verdes Estates has its own police force, with its own small jail. The police officers have four or five police cars on patrol at all times.
“PVE” is a bedroom community for many who work in the general Los Angeles area. It is bordered by Rancho Palos Verdes to its south and east and Rolling Hills Estates and Torrance to its north. To the west of the city is the Pacific Ocean.
Legal disputes arising in Palos Verdes Estates are heard in the Torrance Superior Court. Such cases, both criminal and civil, draw jurors from Torrance, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, El Segundo, Hawthorne, Lawndale, West Carson, Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates, Lomita, parts of Harbor City and of course, Palos Verdes Estates. Our office does the majority of its work in the Torrance courthouse. We are experienced with all of the judges, almost all of the city prosecutors and almost all of the district attorneys. We like to think of the Torrance courthouse as our “home court.”
Our office offers a wide range of services in not only criminal defense but also civil matters ranging from personal injury plaintiff work and defense work, bad faith litigation, breach of contract, real estate (including landlord tenant matters), employment litigation and intellectual property disputes.
The largest portion, however, of our work is in criminal defense. We defend those accused of both misdemeanors and felonies, from the more common cases such as DUI, domestic violence and theft, to the rarer cases involving juvenile offenses, assault and battery, sex crimes (lewd conduct, prostitution, rape and child pornography), robbery, white collar crimes (embezzlement being the most common), municipal code violations and the wide area of federal offenses. We also offer services such as modifying the terms of probation (early termination), expungment and seeking a pardon.
We offer a free initial consultation so that we can discuss with you the case facts and how our office can best serve your needs. Please contact our office at (310) 782-2500 to schedule an appointment for your free consultation or visit our website at greghillassociates.com. Our office, located at 22850 Crenshaw Blvd., Suite 200 in Torrance, is less than two miles from the Torrance Superior Court.
If you choose to retain us, you will be provided with experienced, ethical and hard working attorneys supported by staff who are accessible twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. It is our goal to provide you with a service that surpasses your expectations.
